The checker itself does not upload the source image. Uploading begins only when you choose an Amazon fix or listing-image generation step.
File formatJPEG, PNG, and WebP are accepted by Amazon. Other formats cannot be listed.
ResolutionAt least 1000 px on the longest edge; 1600 px+ is preferred for clean display across devices.
Aspect ratioSquare (1:1) or near-square images look best. Extreme formats may be rejected.
Near-white backgroundAmazon requires a pure-white or near-white background. Pixels are sampled to estimate whiteness.
No transparencyThe image must have a solid background — alpha/transparency is not permitted in main images.
Product fills the frameThe product should occupy a significant portion of the image.
Not blurryImage sharpness is estimated via edge-contrast analysis.

Amazon image checker questions
Does this tool upload my image to a server?
The seven checks run locally in your browser using the Canvas API, so checker-only use does not upload the source image. If you choose Fix for Amazon, Lifestyle, or Feature, PicDo uploads the locked product for that processing step.
What does each check actually measure?
Resolution measures pixel dimensions. Background whiteness samples pixels to estimate what percentage is near-white. Transparency counts pixels with low opacity. Product-area is a border-interior comparison heuristic. Blur uses Laplacian variance — an approximate measure of edge sharpness. None of these are exact Amazon validations.
Why does my image show 'Unable to determine' for some checks?
Some checks require reading image pixel data, which may be blocked in certain browser configurations (e.g., privacy extensions, headless browsers). The checks that rely on pixel sampling are marked as approximate algorithms.
What score means the image is ready?
A score of 80 or above is categorized as Ready. Scores between 50–79 are Needs Review — the image may be acceptable but could be improved. Scores below 50 are Needs Fix. Amazon's own review team makes the final decision.
Can this tool fix my image?
Yes. After the local check, you can continue to create a main-image PNG with a locked product. The workflow can then generate optional Lifestyle and Feature listing images; those processing steps upload the locked product and use one daily task each.
Does PicDo store my uploaded image?
Checker-only analysis stays in your browser. If you choose a fix or listing-image generation step, the required source or locked product is uploaded for processing, and uploaded originals and results are scheduled for deletion after one day.
